With the advent of an American automobile company in the arena of racing sports, Cadillac seems to be planning to leave a major mark in Formula 1’s legacy. With the inclusion of two world renowned drivers as part of their team, Cadillac is getting ready for an exciting launch and, likewise, create a memorable cameo at their inaugural race in Melbourne on March 2026.
Cadillac prepares for their F1 team car livery launch
As per Formula 1’s official press statement, Cadillac’s is preparing to launch their very first F1 team car livery next year in a televized advertisement during the Super Bowl LX. The announcement is reportedly being timed prior to the team’s inaugural race at the Australian Grand Prix in March 2026. This will mark the 11th team to join the Formula 1, along with prominent names such as McLaren, Mercedes, and Aston Martin, among others.

Dan Towriss, CEO of Cadillac Formula 1 Team Holdings, had stated the reason behind their choice to announce in a Super Bowl TV spot. As per a Bloomberg report, he said, “There’s this underdog status as an American brand that is just joining Formula One but doing it from a standing start, going up against European rivals that have been honing their craft for decades.”
Additionally, the decision to sport their F1 car livery is a great move by Cadillac since Super Bowl is reportedly one of the most watched sports broadcasts. The Super Bowl tournaments have made and broken multiple records last year.
This includes raking around 128 million viewers during last year’s match, while Kendrick Lamar’s half-time performance welcomes over 133 million views. In fact, events associated with the Super Bowl have often become sensational news overnight. So, the tournament’s potential to catapult Cadillac’s F1 debut to fame is not an impossibility at all.

Details of Cadillac’s debut F1 team next year
Cadillac Formula 1 Team Holdings is preparing to showcase their car livery next year during the Australian Grand Prix in March. This year has mostly been spent by the automobile brand in bringing in big names within the industry and beyond. For instance, Sergio Perez and Volterri Bottas have been selected has the team’s drivers. The team’s social media team has also been doing a consistent job at giving them much visibility online.

The team’s official website has released other important updates regarding the team’s sponsors and associates. When it comes to apparel, Tommy Hilfiger was announced as their official partner. The fashion label was formerly associated with Mercedes -AMG Petronas F1 since 2018 till last year, and with Ferrari and Lotus in the past. Also, Jim Beam will be the team’s official spirits partner.
However, the most remarkable update has been in inclusion of Hollywood star Keanu Reeves in one of their film projects. The actor is reportedly preparing to host and executive produce a forthcoming docuseries on the Cadillac Formula 1 team.
Given the star studded lineup, all eyes will be on Cadillac’s debut as they get ready for their first race in Melbourne next year.
