When one has tons of money — billions, to be precise — there should be no hesitation in indulging in a bit of excess. The world’s richest luxury baron, Bernard Arnault, has commissioned another show-stopping vessel to add to his growing yacht collection. Carrying a whopping $650 million price tag, the nine-deck megayacht will be a sight to behold as it sails the high seas.
The roaming billionaire retreat will feature sweeping interiors, expansive entertainment spaces, and ultra-exclusive private quarters, giving many five-star resorts a run for their money. This extravagant maritime project will be an audacious effort to merge lavish opulence with sophisticated naval engineering.
Exploring the minutest details of the newly commissioned yacht

This newly commissioned Feadship yacht is reportedly 143 meters, or 470 feet, long, surpassing the 466-foot Dragonfly, the biggest superyacht in the United States. According to the Yacht report, as cited by Luxury Launches, the vessel is expected to become the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands, making the French Billionaire’s 3,000 GT Symphony yacht look tiny by comparison.
To give one a bit of perspective, the luxury tycoon’s current pleasure watercraft boasts only six decks. His current yacht will clearly take a back seat as the newly commissioned luxury craft will be around 10,000 to 12,000 GT, massive in size.
With a 470-foot length and massive volume, it would likely have eight or nine decks. Adding to the splurge, the ship will require annual maintenance of nearly $60-$70 million. The ship can comfortably accommodate 36 guests in 18 cabins, served by at least 80 crew.

Not only will his latest addition have an opulent owner’s deck, but also an entire dazzling townhouse on the high seas. The boat of this scale will feature a double-height main lounge with full-height windows, a private sky lounge, a library, and a formal dining room for 20 to 24 guests, all with sea views.
The floating retreat will have a grand piano room, intentionally designed to cater to Arnault and his wife Helene Mercier’s love for the piano. There will be several decks on the ship dedicated to entertainment, comfort, and leisure. Furthermore, there would be ample office space allocated to conduct business deals, with separate his and hers offices and a proper conference room.
Relaxation of the guests will be taken care of courtesy of a wellness hub housing a world-class spa with a sauna, steam room, massage suites, and a plunge pool. Furthermore, cutting-edge technology of cryo chambers and dedicated ice bath rooms will also be fitted into the luxury yacht.
An infinity pool, a helideck for swift arrivals and departures, and expansive outdoor lounging areas would also be expected on this extravagant Feadship that will bring a new meaning to the definition of floating luxury retreats.
The project reinforces Bernard Arnault’s appetite for pushing luxury to new heights. For the architect of a global fashion empire, a nine-deck floating palace is a statement that even at sea, exclusivity and luxury reign supreme.
