In the past, the Tesla CEO has been vocal about his opposition towards the participation of transgender athletes in women’s sports. In fact, Musk extended his support to Italian boxer Angela Carini, whose allegations against her opponent and Alegerian boxer Imane Khelif’s sexual identity. He also made a big move last year by moving the headquarters of X and SpaceX from California to Texas. This was in response to a new law passed by the California state which, as per BBC, “prevents schools from making rules requiring staff tell anyone, including parents, information about a child’s gender identity.”

The current Olympic Agenda 2020+5 is valid till this year, which aims to support trans athletes in the games. Recently, IOC president Kirsty Coventry shared that a working group for the welfare of women’s sports.
