Elon Musk Backs Charlie Kirk’s Opinion on Criminal Justice Reform

Elon Musk recently took to social media to repost a video clip of late Trump ally Charlie Kirk. The clip featured the right-wing activist talking about the failures of the criminal justice reforms. He opined that the American society has suffered tremendously due to the loopholes and inefficiency inherent in the reforms made at the judicial level.

During his active tenure as the flagbearer of Turning Point USA, Kirk had been vocal about the same. He has often criticized the dire condition of the US judiciary that has affected the lives of civilians across the country.

The clip was reposted by Elon Musk on his personal X account to extend his support towards Kirk’s ideas. The SpaceX CEO himself has been critical of the appointment of judges in the country. Citing the recent Chicago arson case, Musk recently posted on X that condemned the judge responsible for a faulty trial verdict in August this year. The same criminal who was let go by the judicial system then is also the accused in the arson incident.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk agrees with the late Charlie Kirk’s view on Judicial Reforms

On November 27, Elon Musk reposted a video of Charlie Kirk, originally posted by user @XFreeze, on X. In it, the late right-wing activist spoke at length about the unfairness of American judicial system. He criticized them for letting criminals with prior record go scot-free, while the same perpetrators reportedly commit more criminal offences, thus putting the lives of civilians under risk.

In the video, Kirk said that the “criminal justice reform stuff is a complete failure.” He added, “How many more examples do we need of somebody with 10, 12, 13, 14 priors that then goes and commits a murder?” Kirk went on to label the judiciary as “fake and fraudulent criminal justice.” Regarding the incarcerated, Kirk remarked, “Only half of America’s murders are even solved,” adding, “That means 50% of our murderers are walking the streets of our cities.

Elon Musk reposted this video on his X account with the caption, “Charlie said it best.” The Tesla CEO’s views on the American judicial system does align with Kirk’s opinion. In the past, Musk has also questioned the efficiency of the members of the judiciary, citing contemporary cases in which criminals, who have been let go previously, continued to commit heinous crimes.

Netizens react to Elon Musk’s post on X

The comment section of Elon Musk’s repost of Charlie Kirk’s views on the criminal justice reforms was rife with remarks from both sides. Many expressed their agreement with Kirk and Musk’s critique, affirming that swift changed must be done for the sake of the protection of civilians.

However, others wondered about the exact factors that reportedly afflicted Charlie Kirk about the judiciary that prompted him to describe the reforms as a “failure.” Additionally, some also threw light on Kirk’s reported doubts regarding the intrinsic influence of certain communities within the American government, the details of which are yet to be confirmed in the media.

It is indeed a matter of concern when criminals with records are let go by the judiciary, only to commit more crimes that they had previously been put on trial for. In this context, perhaps what is of utmost importance is the need to address the factors enabling the perpetration of crime at the microcosmic level in the society.
